Changing my look!

littleepottery

For the last six years most of my product images have been shot on my front porch. I've just set my pieces on the table or the porch rail and clicked away. It's been simple to do because it gets good diffused natural light and the real backgrounds aren't too distracting from the pottery, but I have decided to switch it up! I bought some studio backdrops and have moved inside next to a huge window that gets great natural light. This means I can take product pics comfortably whether we are in the middle of an arctic blast in February or the seemingly literal blast furnace that is August in Texas. Plus, it gives me endless choices for how to showcase my pieces in different environments and aesthetics. It's so fun to see the vibe shift on a piece when I switch it from a rustic wood background to a fancy marble one. It's early days with this new way of showing my work, and I am sure it will continually evolve. I have many more backgrounds I want to try, but here are some of my early experiments with my new makeshift photo studio! You can check out more of my new pics and my new work by visiting my Etsy Store https://littleepottery.etsy.com

Cheers, y'all!

Emily
